The Levantine kitchen is something I believe is very underrepresented to the world. This makes up the countries of Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, and Jordan. We’re always generalized as Middle Eastern or Mediterranean which is correct but the truth is, each region across the Middle East and Mediterranean has their own special cuisine and lifestyle. Even within the Levant, there are subtle differences that make each city or village unique.
Starting today I’ll be sharing weekly newsletters highlighting different recipes that are unique to the Levant and what better way than to start with the basics. Below you’ll find a video that steps through each and every item you’ll find in a Levantine kitchen, at least as many as I could remember lol.
