When fall comes around I always think of this dish - it’s the perfect side to any meal. In the Levant, this dish goes by a few names. My family calls this Fasoulia, others might call it Lubia, and there may be more names out there but each of them mean the same thing…green beans. These green beans are served by lightly sautéing with olive oil and garlic which is why we say “bil Zeit.” There’s a stewed version of green beans we just call “Fasoulia” or “Yakhni Fasoulia” which just translates to green bean stew. So that’s a quick Arabic lesson for ya. As I seem to say in every recipe, it’s quick, it’s easy, and a crowd pleaser!
