Hi Waleed.

After spending two days prepping my yard/plants for the VERY cold weather we are due to experience here in Corpus Christi,TX - I am finally able to report on making this dish.

I bought the ingredients a day before, but failed to check my pantry for chick peas….not a one. So I went to the grocers and purchased both dry peas and canned peas (I had promised my daughter I would make the dish on Thursday). Got back home from the grocers only to discover that I had inadvertently grabbed a can of cannellini beans so back to the grocers.

The process went fine except my oven isn’t all fancy like yours and after an hour, the cabbage hadn’t baked down (it was still crunchy and visibly looked liked cabbage. I put the CANNED chick peas on 15 minutes only (as recommended) and instead of cayenne pepper. I seasoned them with smoked paprika and Aleppo Peppers. YUMMY!

Put everything together and made the dressing - not enough but that’s because I feel the cabbage didn’t cook down as instructed. Used cherry tomatoes and a Kanza Apple - too delicious!

All-in-all, a very delicious, straightforward, quick recipe only I didn’t take pictures to show because I was embarrassed by how it looked (you know the very first time you try a recipe, it looks somewhat of a disaster).

Next time, no canned chick peas - only real ones will do IMO!

I will MOST definitely make again and post pictures once I’ve gotten the recipe down pat, but I wanted to share my experience of making your delicious recipe and thanks so much for sharing it with me😊😊😊❤️
