Yakhni Bandoura (Tomato Stew)
If there’s one Levantine dish I can urge you to try making, it would have to be this - Yakhni Bandoura or Tomato Stew. This is the go to comfort dish for probably every Levantine household. It’s a very simple tomato stew with ground beef, onions, pine nuts, all served on a bed of vermicelli rice. There’s nothing pretentious or fancy about it, just really good home cooking.
